DuBOIS - The Hollidaysburg boys finished second in the 14-team DuBois High School Boys Golf Tournament at the Treasure Lake Silver Course on Wednesday.

State College won the team title with a 325 to Hollidaysburg's 332. State's Brian Charles was the medalist with a 77 after beating teammate John Peterson in a playoff.

Nolan Robbins led Hollidaysburg with a 79, and Jared Wood shot an 81. Evan Farrell shot an 84 for Altoona, which placed ninth.

TEAMS: 1. SC-State College 325; 2. H-Hollidaysburg 332; 3. MC-Mifflin County 334. 9, A-Altoona 363.

INDIVIDUALS: 1. Brian Charles, SC, 77; 2. John Peterson, SC, 77.

Pearson leads Bellwood

IMLER - Jake Pearson carded a 44 as Bellwood-Antis defeated Chestnut Ridge, 249-257, in nine holes at the King Valley Golf Course. The Blue Devils improved to 9-3. Chestnut Ridge fell to 3-2.

BELLWOOD-ANTIS (249): Jake Pearson 44, Martin 48, Hunter 49, Wyland 52, Harold 56.

CHESTNUT RIDGE (257): Luke Shultz 46, Weyant 51, Claar 52, Williams 53, Beisinger 55.

Northern falls to Mt. Union

EVERETT - Despite J.J. McCabe shooting a 79 and Jake Frederick an 82, Northern Bedford lost to Mount Union, 355-359, at Down River Golf Course. The Black Panthers fell to 1-7.

MOUNT UNION (355): Ashman 86, Goodling 87, D. Kylor 90, Boozle 92, Hoffner 92.

NORTHERN BEDFORD (359): McCabe 79, Frederick 82, Guyer 96, Baker 102.

Records: Northern Bedford (1-7); Mount Union (6-2).

Lady Tigers take fifth

DuBOIS - The Hollidaysburg girls team took fifth place out of 14 teams at the DuBois Tournament on the Treasure Lake Silver Course.

Quincy Gildea shot a 94, and Teresa Kuhns carded a 96 for Hollidaysburg. Julie Brustle shot a 101, and Kahley Stiffler had a 117 for the Lady Tigers.
