Penn State tight end Kevin Haplea was cited for underage possession of alcohol late Saturday night, after the Nittany Lions' 27-11 loss to Alabama.
Haplea received a beer from an adult at about 10 p.m., according to police records, and charges are pending against that person.
Haplea, a sophomore, started Saturday's game against the Crimson?Tide. He is the second-string tight end, behind senior Andrew Szczerba, who was battling an injury but did play in the game.
