TYRONE There are still a few spots open for golfers and time for interested organizations to sign on as sponsors of the 10th annual Tyrone Hospital Development Council Golf Tournament to benefit Tyrone Hospital.
The golf tournament will be held Aug. 24 at the Sinking Valley Country Club. Proceeds from the event will be used to help convert Tyrone Hospital's semi-private inpatient rooms to private patient suites. The private suites will create greater privacy and a more comfortable and homelike environment for patients and their families. Corporate sponsors are DelGrosso's Amusement Park and DelGrosso Foods Inc., the Tyrone Hospital Medical Staff and UPMC Health Plan. Other area organizations supporting the event as Course level sponsors include Grane Hospice Care, Radiology Business Solutions Inc. and Matrix Radiology, Metz Culinary Management and Net Revenue Associates and Home Health Resource.
Sponsorship opportunities are as follows: corporate sponsor, $1,500; course sponsor, $750; tee sponsor, $200. The fee for a team of four golfers is $400. The event includes a barbecue lunch and prize opportunities at select holes. The tournament is a best ball four-man scramble.
