American Solutions Group, Guy Landolfi CPA and The Bullpen each went undefeated last week to remain in the top 3 spots as Division 1 is looking to be a three-horse race this year in the Mansion?Park Men's Summer Basketball League.
All year, American Solutions Group has been getting strong contributions from its entire team. Steve Catich, Anthony Lytle and Chris Buchanan have been consistently leading ASG as it is sitting atop Division 1 at 9-0. With only five games remaining, ASG still has to face Bullpen and Landolfi, but wins over those two teams should mean an undefeated season and top seed for the playoffs.
Guy Landolfi is currently sitting in second place at 8-1 after victories over Despoy Law and Advanced Regional Center last week. In previous years, Landolfi was always led by Drew Shubik, but it is using a very balanced attack this year. Jordan Miller and Demetrius Davis are two guards for Landolfi who can light the scoreboard up at any time. Landolfi opens the week up against 7-2 Bullpen, which it previously beat this season thanks to a stellar display of outside shooting.
The No. 1 seed in Division 1 will likely go to the winner of the American Solutions Group vs. Guy Landolfi, which is scheduled for next week.
Also, no winless teams exist in D1 as Moses & Associates defeated Steve Seltzer Honda, 56-42, for its first victory. Outside of D1's top 3, the next best record is Advanced Regional Center and Despoy Law at 3-6.
In Division 2, Barr's Auto continued its winning ways by defeating second-place Invisible Fence Brand, 54-38, to improve to 7-0. Invisible Fence, Co "BRH"s Green and Natural Gains are all sitting strong with only two losses and should make for a interesting end to the season as these teams are playing for playoff positioning.
Of the 62 teams, only Barr's and American Solutions Group are undefeated. Going an entire season undefeated is always a tough task, but either one could pull it off this year.
Mike's Court/Craig's Fencing, Tune Squad and Snap Fitness are all still struggling to find their first victory of the season.
30-point club
Chad Carlson of Solarshield scored 31 points in a 54-46 victory over Iron Horse Bar & Grille. Coldwell Banker's Travis Peterman dropped 30 points in helping to defeat Park Furniture, 56-39. American Solutions Group's Chris Buchanan led the way with 32 points in a 75-51 win over Advanced Regional Center.
