HUNTINGDON - Tom Yoder will open his city garden at 723 Mifflin St. for a tour from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.
Area residents are invited to enjoy the garden, chat about Huntingdon, share memories and support local history.
There will be a $5 donation to enter the front gate with all of the proceeds benefiting the Huntingdon County Historical Society. Right in the middle of Huntingdon, this is a refuge for birds, turtles, fish and butterflies and a little bit of paradise for the people who visit.
This secret garden is a tiny piece of paradise for Yoder and those who visit. Once inside, it is easy to forget that this place is right in the middle of downtown Huntingdon - surrounded by asphalt and concrete. Visitors can take with them some old photographs of Huntingdon to share.
