The Unter Uns Club will hold a dance from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday to celebrate the 89th anniversary of its founding.
Music will be provided by The Jerry Intihar Band from Johnstown from 8 to 11 p.m. in the club's outdoor gardens at Van Buren Avenue and 14th Street, Altoona.
The men of the club will be doing an old-fashioned Zugeinerbraten (a pork chop roasted over an open fire on large sticks).
Each pork chop will be sold with a serving of German potato salad for $10.
Tickets for this must be purchased at the club no later than June 21.
The kitchen will be open with German potato salad, bratwurst, hot dogs and sauerkraut. The event is open to all members and their guests, as well as the general public.
Cost of the evening is a $5 donation, payable at the door. This event is being sponsored by the Retired Ladies' Club.
