JOHNSTOWN - Following successful art tours of London/Paris and Rome/Florence, the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art has announced that its third annual Monuments & Masterpieces trip will be offered this fall.

This year's destination is the enchanted Emerald Isle, Ireland. The eight-day, seven-night tour will be held from Oct. 1 through 9. The tour will begin with the scenery of the Cliffs of Moher. From there, guests will visit Burren National Park and Bunratty Castle, the most complete and authentic medieval castle in Ireland.

While in Dublin, the tour will visit Trinity College, the Guinness Storehouse and The National Museum of Ireland.

Guests also will have an opportunity to see SAMA's traveling exhibition, "Colleen Browning: A Brush with Magic,'' at Dublin's Axis: Ballymun.

Axis is hosting a special exhibition reception during the tour in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Ireland and SAMA. Upon leaving Dublin, the tour will visit the Wicklow Mountains, Blarney Castle and the Blarney Stone, in addition to several other sites.

The tour, arranged in conjunction with Vacation Station Travel in Greensburg, will include deluxe motor coach transport to and from Johnstown to Pittsburgh International Airport. While in Ireland, guests will be treated to first-class accommodations for three nights in Dublin, two nights in Killarney and one night each in Ennis and Waterford.

Tickets are $3,795 per person, double occupancy, with a limited number of single accommodations available for an additional $795. Included in the cost are all sightseeing fees (per itinerary); round-trip coach class air travel; full Irish breakfast daily at hotel; nightly dinner; service of a professional tour manager; baggage handling of one piece of luggage per person; and travel insurance.

There are a limited number of spaces available. For reservations or more information, call Michael Philopena of Vacation Station Travel at 724-832-7117.
