My sports claim to fame: "I was a ball girl for the Lady Lion basketball state championship teams in 1995 and '96 so I'm on the AAHS Wall of Fame. It's always fun when my students realize that.''
If I were the czar of local sports, the one thing I would change would be: "Altoona fans and especially students would wear maroon and white, actually sit in the stands at athletic events and actually cheer for their team.''
