Central's next step toward a return to the state baseball finals will take the Scarlet Dragons to First Commonwealth Park in Homer City, the PIAA announced on Friday.
The District 6 Class AA champion Dragons will play Riverside on Monday in the state semifinals with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
Riverside is the champion of District 7. Both teams enter the contest with 18-5 records.
Central is endeavoring to make it to the PIAA finals for the second year in a row. The Dragons beat Mount Union in the 2010 semis but fell to Bermudian Springs in the title game.
