Ambrisco paces CC past Heights

PATTON - Zak Ambrisco knocked in two runs, and Mitchell Brown was 2-for-2 with two runs scored as Central Cambria topped Cambria Heights, 4-2. in a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference high school baseball game Wednesday.

Central Cambria improved to 4-6 in the conference, Heights is 5-7 overall and in the conference.

FLINTON - Ethan Cree's three-run fourth-inning home run led Glendale to a 4-3 Inter-County Conference North Division victory over Juniata Valley in the second game of their doubleheader for a twinbill split.

Juniata Valley (5-4 overall) won the first game, 10-0, in five innings, behind the one-hit pitching of Bill Edmiston. Seth Carper hit a three-run homer, and Rick Musser drove in three runs, two with a homer, for the Green Hornets. Glendale is 2-8 overall.
