MOUNT UNION - A seventh-inning rally started by Altoona's Amanda Parrish helped the Lady Lions defeat Mount Union, 8-7, in high school softball Monday.

Parrish hit a two-run double to spark an eight-run seventh inning. Kristie Mulhollem got the win, pitching a complete game.

SPRING MILLS - The Hollidaysburg junior high softball team improved to 3-6 with an 11-6 win at Penns Valley.

Allison Horvath led the Lady Tigers with two hits and two RBIs. Alyssa Pheasant got the win.

The Lady Tigers B team lost, 18-6, despite a double and two RBIs from Kierra Brumbaugh.
