Athlete of the week achievement: Won the javelin with a 188-0 mark against Philipsburg-Osceola, and also won at the Jack Roddick/Shippensburg University High Track and Field Invitational with a 185-1. His throw was the second best throw at the invitational out of both Class AAA and AA schools. It was 27 feet better than the second-place finisher at the AA level.
Season update: In nine meets, Nothstein has won the javelin in all nine matchups. In two weekend invitationals, he also won the javelin in those competitions as well.
