CHAMBERSBURG - Mitch Warner singled in the go-ahead run with two outs in the bottom of the sixth to break a 5-5 tie and give Chambersburg a win over Altoona.

Altoona had its go-ahead run in the top of the sixth taken away on what Mountain Lion coach Turtle Smith viewed as a botched play. An Altoona player scored on a single and slid home on the hit, even though there was no throw made at home. When the inning ended, the homeplate umpire announced that the run did not count because the Altoona player slid past the plate and did not touch home. According to Smith, no appeal was asked for by Chambersburg. The umpire simply made the ruling himself after the inning had ended.
