Athlete of the week achievement: In an 11-1 win over rival Everett, she went 4-for-4, with a grand slam and three singles, six RBIs, and pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts and two walks.

Season update: McCoy is 6-for-10 with 10 RBIs, two doubles, eight runs and a homer so far. She also has pitched five innings and allowed just one run. Ridge is 3-0.

Coach Chuck Corle's quote: "In that game, it was her 18th birthday so that was a super game for her. I just love her attitude. She is very fun to watch and a great kid to coach. She is our shortstop and a pitcher for us. She is just an all-around athlete."
