SPRING COVE - Jay Stern had a triple, a double and two RBIs in the Spring Cove junior high baseball team's 14-1 win over Conemaugh Valley. Nick Hoenstine and Mike Mock both scored three runs and had two hits. Spring Cove moved to 2-0.
BG juniors win
EBENSBURG - Bishop Guilfoyle moved to 5-1 with a 25-13, 25-17 victory over Central Cambria in junior high girls volleyball.
Elizabeth Davies led BG with nine service points, and Julianna Burke added seven.
BC juniors triumph
SIDMAN - The Bishop Carroll junior girls volleyball team won, 25-16, 25-13, over Forest Hills. Sarah Gomish had 12 service points and eight kills. Jess Shaffer added 11 assists for the Lady Huskies, who are now 8-0.
