BEDFORD - Central Cambria finished second in both the boys and girls competition, and CC's Kendall Seymour captured the outstanding runner award for the girls at the Bedford Giant Eagle Invitational Saturday.
Central's Derek Nothstein was named the outstanding thrower in the boys competition, setting a new meet record in the javelin with a throw of 182 feet, 3 inches. Central finished sixth behind champion Berlin, the Red Devils, Penns Manor (third), Tyrone (fourth) and Bedford (fifth).
Seymour's time in the 1,600 meter run of 5:14 also met a meet record.
Forest Hills won the girls competition, and Central Cambria was second. Bedford took third.

The Lady Lions were led by Nikki Kerns, who was first in the 300 hurdles (47.52), second in the 100 hurdles (16.30) and second in the high jump (5-2).
