My favorite pro team: Pittsburgh Steelers
The most famous sports person I have ever met: One-time Washington Redskins quarterback Sonny Jurgensen
My most prized sports photograph/memorabilia: My old football cards from the 1970s and 1980s
My sports claim to fame: I had an adult beverage with Sonny Jurgensen at Redskins camp at Frostburg State University. I also got to go into the dining hall and eat dinner with the team.
If I were the czar of local sports, the one thing I would change would be: I would like to see everyone under the age of 10 compete in non-competitive sports, which is geared more toward instruction and having fun and not toward keeping score. You can have more intramural sports for them. This will keep them from burning out.
