LORETTO -- Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic, the two-time defending PIAA Class A girls basketball champion, broke open a tight game in the final minutes to emerge with a 47-35 victory over Homer-Center in the District 6 Class A final tonight at St. Francis University for the program's 21st D6 crown and its fifth straight.
Halee Adams paced the Lady Marauders (25-1) with 14 points, while Elyssa Ehredt scored 11, all in the fourth quarter. Kayla Bates netted nine and Kelsey Livoti eight for Guilfoyle.
