LORETTO - The Altoona boys and girls swim teams swept Bishop McCort Monday afternoon, as the boys scored a 98-69 victory, while the Lady Lions posted an 88-77 win at St. Francis University.
The Altoona boys, now 13-2, got two victories each from Alex Cummings (500 freestyle and 100 backstroke) and Conner Hallinan (50 freestyle and 100 freestyle). The Altoona girls, now 6-9, got two wins each from Maria Thompson (50 freestyle and 100 backstroke) and Danielle Parowski (200 freestyle and 100 freestle).

Junior Tigers triumph
JOHNSTOWN - Greg Bearer sank one free throw with four seconds left to lift Hollidaysburg to a 40-39 win over Bishop McCort in the championship game of McCort's tournament in junior high boys basketball Sunday night.
Marcell DeFay led Hollidaysburg with 13 points, while Reid Miller had nine and Bearer eight.
