Sammarco helps lead Mounties

BRADFORD - Lindsy Sammarco scored 18 points, and Kaylee Keagy contributed 12 points and 13 rebounds to help lift the Mount Aloysius women's basketball team past Pitt-Bradford, 58-55, on Saturday afternoon.

Juniata beats Catholic

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Juniata College women's basketball team trailed by 10 just five minutes into the game, yet a perfect 16-of-16 from the free throw line in the second half contributed to a 76-60 comeback win against Catholic University at the DuFour Center Gymnasium.

Jen Hnatuck collected a game-high of 12 rebounds, while Natalie Glinsky put up a team-high of 16 points for Juniata (14-6, 7-2 Landmark Conference). Freshman Kate McDonald and sophomore Paige Robertson added 11 points apiece.

PSU Altoona women lose

BUFFALO - Holly Beats had a double-double scoring 21 points and adding 12 rebounds to help D'Youville edge Penn State Altoona, 66-57, in women's basketball. Beats went 7-for-7 from the free throw line.

Penn State Altoona had three scorers in double figures in the loss. Courtney Carroll scored 14 points and was 5-for-6 from the free throw line. Olivia Flick added 12, and Janelle Nardozza chipped in 10.

BUFFALO - Lorenzo Carter went 11-for-15 from the field and 4-for-5 from the free throw line to score 26 points for Penn State Altoona, but the Lions fell short, 86-70, at D'Youville in men's basketball.

Matt Gehret also finished in double figures with 12.
