Return to Romance to aid MS Society

DUNCANSVILLE - The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will host the second annual Return to Romance Feb. 12 at the Calvin House.

The event will feature hors d'oeuvres, dinner, dancing to music by Maxwell Strait, a silent auction and more.

This year, the first John Carothers Spirit Award will honor Tim Surkovich along with his service dog, Painter.

Surkovich, who was diagnosed with MS about 20 years ago at the age of 28, has helped educate many people locally and nationally about the disease.

His son, Kyle, developed a video of "My Fight With MS" which can be viewed on YouTube.

Surkovich is married to Lisa, has a stepson C.J. and twin sons Kyle and Todd.

Tickets for Return to Romance are $100 per person or $175 per couple; tables of eight are also available for purchase.

Biogen and EMD Serono are corporate sponsors of this year's event.
