Celtic Woman returns to Bryce Jordan
UNIVERSITY PARK - The all-female Irish vocal and violin group Celtic Woman returns to the Bryce Jordan Center with their newest live show at 7:30 p.m. March 24.
Celtic Woman has sold more than six million CDs and DVDs worldwide in their five-year existence. Their 2011 tour will feature Irish classics, contemporary covers and original compositions.

Altoona Dance presents 'Nutcracker'
Altoona Dance Theatre will present "The Nutcracker," at 7 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Jaffa Shrine Facility.
The performance will also feature New York City Metropolitian Opera Ballet dancers Michelle Joy and Gregory Brown.
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased by calling 940-1250 or be bought at the Altoona Dance Theatre, The Allegro Resturant and all Copy Rite Locations. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
Legendary boy bands touring together
PITTBSURGH - Two of the biggest boy bands of all time join forces when New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys perform together in concert on June 15 at the Consol Energy Center.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday and will be $29.50, $49.50, $69.50 and $89.50 for reserved seating. Tickets will be available online at livenation.com, at all Ticketmaster outlets, charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000 and in person at the Consol Energy Center ticket office.
Juniata Orchestra to play Britten work
HUNTINGDON - The Juniata College Orchestra will perform the "Simple Symphony," by British composer Benjamin Britten, as the centerpiece of the group's concert at 4 p.m. Saturday at Rosenberger Auditorium in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts on the Juniata campus. The concert will also feature a pair of selections performed by the Juniata String Octet.
Tickets for the concert are $5 for adults. Admission is free for children under age 18 and Juniata students with a current college ID.
Juniata to present live 'Surround Sound'
HUNTINGDON - Holiday concertgoers will experience live "Surround Sound" in what Juniata College is calling its Instrumental Music Spectrum Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in Rosenberger Auditorium in the Halbritter Center for the Performing Arts on the Juniata campus.
The "Surround Sound" effect of the concert will come from 23 separate performances by small chamber groups, duets and the larger wind symphony. The smaller groups will play in various locations throughout the performing hall, "giving listeners the feeling of being in the middle of a musical 'portrait.'"
Tickets are $5 for the general public and free for children under age 18 and Juniata students with a current college ID.
