Almost four months after its last verbal commitment, the Penn State football team has added its fifth recruit for its 2011 recruiting class.
Anthony Alosi, a 6-foot-6, 282-pound offensive tackle from New Jersey, called the Nittany Lion coaching staff Saturday night to let them know he was accepting Penn State's scholarship offer.
Alosi had made a couple of unofficial visits to Penn State for home games this fall before the Lions offered last week. UConn, UMass, Richmond and Tulane also offered scholarships.
Alosi is a post-graduate prospect. He originally went to Cherokee High School in Marlton but has spent this season attending and playing for The Hun School, a prep school in Princeton with a strong football program.
