EBENSBURG - Organizers of Ebensburg's annual Christmas parade are seeking participants for this year's event at 11 a.m. Dec. 4 in downtown Ebensburg.
The theme for this year's parade is "A Victorian Celebration."
The parade is one of the many events offered as part of the borough's "Dickens of a Christmas" event Dec. 3 to 5. All are encouraged to dress in Victorian costume and/or decorate a float according to the theme. Monetary prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners.
"Dickens of a Christmas" is an event based on Charles Dickens and the Victorian-era. This family-oriented Victorian celebration will consist of ice sculptures in town, three craft fairs, sleigh and carriage rides, Victorian teas, holiday displays and productions.
Parade entry forms and event information can be found at www.EbensburgDickens.com or by calling the borough office at 472-8780. All entries for the parade must be submitted by Nov. 26.
The Christmas parade is sponsored by the Ebensburg Area Business Commission and Main Street Partnership.
