Grade, school: Senior, Clearfield Area High School

FFA chapter: Clearfield FFA

Years involved with FFA: 4

Amount of time spend on FFA-related things: It depends on the time of the year. Now, we're just getting started. I have an independent study I'm getting started on, which is 45 minutes a day. During fair time, it's more like 90 minutes a day.

FFA projects: On-farm work experience, show pigs.

Favorite thing about FFA: I've met a lot of people through FFA.

Accomplishments: I've won dairy foods at our local chapter contest three years in a row now. I've been an officer for all four years. I'm currently the vice president for the chapter.

What are your future aspirations and how will FFA help you in that: I'd like to be a nurse, and I think that FFA has helped me with my people skills and my leadership.

Quote: "I think a lot of people don't really understand what FFA is. It's not just farming and agriculture. It's everything combined into one - livestock judging and dairy and that sort of stuff - but then we also have salesmanship and public speaking that anyone can do. You don't really need an ag background to be in FFA."
