Eroica Trio to play PSU

UNIVERSITY PARK - The Eroica Trio, a world-renowned piano trio, makes its Penn State debut in concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 in Schwab Auditorium.

Tickets are $38 for adults, $15 for University Park students and $31 for people age 18 and younger. Tickets are available online at www.cpa.psu.edu, by calling 863-0255 or 800-ARTS-TIX and in person at Eisenhower Auditorium, Penn State Tickets Downtown in the Downtown Theatre Center, HUB-Robeson Center Information Desk and the Bryce Jordan Center.

Dolls exhibit comes back

The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Altoona has announced the return of its popular "Antique Dolls" exhibition. This year's installment will feature 38 strange and unusual dolls from around the world. "Antique Dolls: The Unusual" opens in the museum's George A. and Herbert L. Wolf Gallery on Nov. 19 and will remain on view through Jan. 8.

In celebration of the exhibition, the museum will be hosting its annual Pizza and Parade party at 5 p.m. Dec. 2. Guests can enjoy pizza, view the dolls on display and afterward watch Altoona's annual The Spirit of Christmas parade at 6 p.m., followed by fireworks and the Christmas tree lighting at Heritage Plaza.

Cost is $5 for children and $7 for adults. Call the museum at 946-4464 for reservations or more information.

Rock tribute visits theater

GREENSBURG - "Get the Led Out - The American Led Zeppelin" will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4 at The Palace Theatre.

Get the Led Out is a tribute act that performs as themselves, doing the studio versions of Led Zeppelin's music catalog.

Tickets are $20, $22 and $28 and can be purchased through The Palace Theatre Box Office at 724-836-8000 or online at www.thepalacetheatre.org.

CLP casting for musical

EBENSBURG - Cresson Lake Playhouse will hold auditions for its Christmas musical, "Nuncrackers," at 1 p.m. Sunday at the CLP Rehearsal Hall, 526 W. Ogle St. Callbacks will be held at 2 p.m.

All roles are available for casting. Those auditioning should come prepared with a two minute song. Performances will be Dec. 3-5 at the Loretto theater.

Group adapts classic novel

LORETTO - STAR Productions at St. Francis University will perform a theatrical dramatization of Anthony Burgess' novel "A Clockwork Orange" at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday.

The production is an adaptation of the novel, not the Stanley Kubrick film adaptation.

This weekend's performances are dinner theaters, with the dinners beginning at 6 p.m.

Tickets for dinner and the show is $20 per person. Reservations are required and can be placed by calling 472-3930.
