AOW: Khalouf a solid No. 1

Athlete of the week achievement: Khalouf beat teammate Megan Bettwy to win the District 6 Class AAA singles title. She was down, 2-0, early in the first set but rallied back and won it, 6-3. Khalouf never trailed the second set and won the title with another 6-3 score.

Season update: Khalouf is 12-0 in singles play, and Hollidaysburg is 11-0.

Coach Brian Denis' quote: "Since the beginning of fall practice, she has asserted herself as the No. 1 singles player. She showed that she is the No. 1 player in the district even though there are a lot of good athletes in the area."
