Kickoff: 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, Heinz Field
Series: The Steelers lead the all-time series, 48-32, and have won 15 of the 21 meetings since 2000. The Bengals, however, won both games last year, 23-20 and 18-12.
Who will win and why: Steelers. It could very well be desperation time for the Steelers, and don't bet against a desperate team at home in the NFL.
About the Bengals: Marvin Lewis is entering his eighth season with the Bengals and is 56-55-1 but has yet to put two winning seasons back to back and hasn't won a playoff game RB Cedric Benson had a breakout year in his fifth season last year, rushing for 1,251 yards QB Carson Palmer begins his eighth NFL season and has a career QB rating of 87.9. He figures to throw more than his 21 touchdowns of last season with Terrell Owens teaming with Chad Ochocinco at receiver this year Cornerbacks Johnathan Joseph and Leon Hall each had six interceptions last season.
Look out for: Ziggy Hood on the field a lot. This late in the season, the other five 30-something Steelers defensive linemen could be feeling the effects of their age.
The Steelers' record after this game: 7-6
