Penn State had a marquee home schedule lined up for 2011, but the entire Big Ten portion has been wiped clean because of pending realignment with the addition of Nebraska.
Previously scheduled conference games listed for 2011 and beyond have been pulled from Penn State's official website, gopsusports.com, and now are listed as TBA.
The conference home games in 2011 were to be against Ohio State, Iowa, Wisconsin and Purdue. Road games were to be at Illinois, Northwestern, Minnesota and Michigan State.
School spokesman Jeff Nelson confirmed that all future Big Ten schedules are unknown because of conference realignment. The league is in the process of deciding how to split up its 12 members into football divisions, starting in 2011 when the Cornhuskers come aboard.
The non-conference schedule for next year remains unchanged and includes home games against Alabama, Indiana State and Eastern Michigan and a road game at Temple.
Of course, 2011 is the first year of the more expensive new STEP seating plan at Beaver Stadium. Fans at least could soften the blow to their wallets by knowing they would see Ohio State, Iowa and Wisconsin, along with Alabama, but now there's no telling who the conference home games will be against.
