DUNCANSVILLE - Foot of Ten Elementary School held its third annual Blair County Diabetes Walk on May 15.
The event included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Charlotte Ames and her husband, Sen. John H. Eichelberger Jr., Steamer from the Altoona Curve, Allegheny Township Fire Department, a balloon release, basket raffle, diabetes fair, face painting, local DJ and fun, games and food for all.
Family teams and the community raised more than $18,000 for the Diabetes Research Institute at the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami in?Miami,?Fla.
