Considering all the serious and sometimes disastrous problems of our world today, I have to write about two articles in the Altoona Mirror recently.
Firstly, I thoroughly enjoyed the article about Carl Cacciotti and John Kraft, coaches in the Altoona Area Baseball Association.
What a wonderful story about two men who have devoted much of their adult life to teaching and mentoring young boys. Hopefully, they will enjoy this great service to young people and out community for many more years.
Also, I enjoyed the small clip about the four Irwin "boys" playing basketball in the Mansion Park League - with the youngest of them calling for an assist from "Grandpa."
These are the things that brighten one's outlook on life in our city.
