2 tablespoons butter
1 onion (chopped)
1/2 cup celery (chopped)
3/4 cup water
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Melt butter in saucepan and add onion and celery. Cook until tender. Add other ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes.
This sauce is good with a large roast. First, double the amount of sauce made. With an eye of round roast, grill for 20 minutes, then place roast in large roaster or pan. Add sauce and desired vegetables (such as potatoes, green peppers, mushrooms and carrots). Cover and grill for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
