Always-steady Wilson producing in playoffs

Athlete of the week achievement: Wilson had two hits in each of Philipsburg-Osceola's PIAA Class AA playoff wins over Burrell and Waynesburg. In Thursday's 5-1 win against Burrell, she drove in three runs.

Season update: Wilson is batting .385 with three doubles, two triples and a home run. She is tied for second on the Lady Mounties with 18 runs scored and tied for third on the team with 21 RBIs. She also leads the team with team with seven sacrifice hits and boasts a .929 fielding percentage at shortstop. P-O, which plays Wilmington today in the state semifinals, is 24-1.
