Henderson keys Altoona’s victory

Cody Henderson was 2-for-2 and had three RBIs as Altoona defeated Clearfield, 11-1, in five innings in high school baseball Friday at Mansion Park.

K.J. Walters, Josh Adams, and Nate Clancy had two RBIs each, and winning pitcher, Matt Frederick had six strikeouts for the Mountain Lions.

Derek Danver was 2-for-2 and drove in the Bisons' only run.

n D.J. Mock had three hits, knocked in two runs and combined with Korey Replogle and Garret England on a four-hitter as Dickey Law Office rolled to a 14-5 win over Postal Express at Seitz Field.

Terrance Futrell had two hits and three RBIs for Dickey Law, which also got two hits apiece from Replogle and Dalton Hamer. Tyler Dewitt had two hits for Postal Express.

Austin Pope had five RBIs for Kiwanis as it defeated Pal-Minos, 15-10, in an Altoona Teener Minor game at Seitz Field late Thursday.

Winning pitcher, Trent Martin had 12 strikeouts and Brandon Weyant and Micheal Kazalets had two hits a piece for Kiwanis.

Nick Lytle had two hits and five strikeouts for Palominos in the loss.

n Jordan Perino rapped three hits in four plate appearances as McMullen Furniture blasted Gingrich Insurance, 17-5, in an Altoona Teener Minor League game at Seitz Field. The game was halted by the mercy rule after five innings. Brandy Wilt and Noah Stewart had two hits apiece for McMullen (4-2), while Gingrich dropped to 0-8.
