Athlete of the week achievement: Claar had 16 strikeouts in tossing a two-hitter in a 1-0 win over previously unbeaten Mount Union. She later had 12 strikeouts and had three hits, including a two-run homer run, in a 7-6 win over Mount Union. In between, she hit a double and combined on a two-hitter with Kelsey Ickes in the Lady Bulldogs' 4-0 win over Central.
Season update: Claar is 10-1 with a 1.07 ERA. She has given up 34 hits and 13 walks and has 126 strikeouts in 71 innings pitched.
