UNIVERSITY PARK - Neither Joe Paterno nor Dave Wannstedt wanted anything to do with answering questions Wednesday that didn't pertain to high school football.
The possibility of resuming the Penn State versus Pitt football series? JoePa remained quiet when asked, while Wannstedt replied, "We're here just to talk about the high school association."
Wannstedt offered a brief answer when cornered after the press conference about Big Ten expansion.
"A lot of rumors as far as I'm concerned," he said. "I really don't have any comment on that. That's for the chancellor and the higher-ups to discuss if there's ever a discussion, I guess. Right now there has been none."
Asked if he's tired of hearing about the rumors, Wannstedt said, "It hasn't bothered me one bit because I haven't done very many press conferences. ... I wish I had something to add, but I don't."
