Furrer Beverage, Sheetz, the Altoona Mirror, Rocky 104.9 and WTAJ are teaming up to once again sponsor the 22nd Annual Co-Ed Wallyball Tournament to benefit the Blair County Respiratory Disease Society.
The event will be held April 22 to 25 at The Summit Tennis & Athletic Club, Altoona.
Wallyball is basically like volleyball, only it is played on a racquetball court.
Getting ready for the 22nd annual Co-Ed Wallyball Tournament are (from left): Andelina Pacifico of The Summit Tennis & Athletic Club, Ralph Smith of Furrer Beverage, Rachel Derby and Ken Gardner of the Blair County Respiratory Disease Society and Tommy Edwards of WRKY.
Teams consist of four members on the court (at least one must be female).
A maximum of 10 people per team is allowed. The event has three divisions: beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Team members receive a T-shirt and many other gifts and prizes. There are awards for first-, second- and third-place winners of each division. In addition there are many fundraiser awards. To obtain registration forms or for more information call the Respiratory Disease Society at 944-8222 or log on to www.bcrds.org.
