2009 Mirror girls cross country all-stars

Alyssa Brandis, Freshman, Central Cambria

Helped lead Lady Devils to 2009 PIAA Class AA team championship Placed third in the District 6-AA race Placed fourth at states Altoona Invitational and Juniata College Invitational champ.

Alexis Ebersole, Junior, Altoona

Two-time Mirror all-star and honorable mention as a freshman Was seventh in the District 6-AAA race Placed fourth in District 6-AAA as a sophomore Was seventh in the State College Invitational, 14th in the Steel City Invitational and Big Valley Invitational, 23rd in the Altoona Invitational and 27th in the Slippery Rock Invitational.

Morgan Eckenrod, Senior, Central Cambria

Helped Central Cambria with its third straight PIAA Class AA team title Placed 21st in the District 6-AA race Was 137th at states Placed ninth in the Juniata College Invitational and 26th in the Altoona Invitational.

Sasha Peterman, Junior, Altoona

Three-time Mirror all-star Was sixth in the District 6-AAA race Placed seventh in District 6-AAA as a sophomore and freshman Was sixth in the State College Invitational, ninth in the Steel City Invitational, 13th in the Big Valley Invitational, 33rd in the Altoona Invitational and 19th in the Slippery Rock Invitational.

Lauren Pheasant, Freshman, Hollidaysburg

Placed 10th in the District 6-AAA race Placed third in the Blair County meet and 14th in the State College Invitational Was top Hollidaysburg finisher in nine meets.

Carly Port, Freshman, Altoona

Placed ninth in the District 6-AAA race Placed 35th in the Altoona Invitational, 22nd in the Steel City Invitational and 25th at Slippery Rock.

Kelsey Seymour, Senior, Central Cambria

Four-time Mirror all-star Part of three PIAA Class AA team championships Finished seventh in the District 6-AA race and seventh at states Placed second in the District 6-AA race as a junior and was fifth as a sophomore Placed 15th at states as a junior and 22nd as a sophomore Juniata College Invitational and Forest Hills Invitational runner-up.

Kendall Seymour, Junior, Central Cambria

Three-time Mirror all-star Part of three PIAA Class AA team championships Was sixth in the District 6-AA race Finished 25th at states Placed fifth in the District 6-AA race as a sophomore and seventh as a freshman Was 24th at states as a freshman Placed fourth in the Juniata College Invitational and fifth in the Altoona Invitational.

Lauren Simcox, Sophomore, Philipsburg-Osceola

Two-time Mirror all-star Tied for 10th in the District 6-AA race Placed 13th in the District 6-AA race as a freshman Was 24th in the Altoona Invitational and 15th in the Big Valley Invitational.

Maria Snyder, Freshman, Northern Bedford

District 5 runner-up Placed 63rd at states with a time of 21:10 Was fifth in the Juniata College Invitational and eighth in the Altoona Invitational.

Emiley Stapleton, Junior, Bellwood-Antis

Three-time Mirror all-star Placed first in nine dual meets and was second twice Finished second in the Inter-County Conference meet, fourth in the Blair-Huntingdon meet, 20th in the Altoona Invitational and 23rd at Big Valley Placed 32nd in the District 6-AA race, despite battling illness Was 16th in the District 6-AA race as a sophomore and 20th as a freshman.
