John Michael Watt, 31, Altoona, lost his battle with mental illness and drug addiction Tuesday.

He was born in Altoona, son of Timothy and Yvonne (Reed) Watt.

Surviving are his parents; two daughters: Madelyn and Sarah; five siblings: Tim Jr. (fiancee Leah), Wendy Weatherwalk (Dan), Christopher (Pam), Lucas and Amanda; his grandmother, Charlotte Smeltzer; his fiancee, Jen Mort, and her children: Alex, Kayley and Megan; his aunt, Becky Watt; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces and a nephew.

Mike was a 1996 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was an avid comic book and action figure collector.

He will be sadly missed by all.

There will be no public viewing. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
