Terry B. Pfahler

Terry B. Pfahler, 52, Pinecroft, died Saturday morning at home.

He was born in Altoona, son of Melvin S. and Iva M. (Adams) Pfahler.

Surviving are his mother of Pinecroft; nine brothers and sisters: Iva Jean Bisignano, Melvin R. Pfahler and John (Mike) Pfahler, all of Altoona, Nancy E. Walker, Roxanne G. Laird and Mark A. Pfahler, all of Pinecroft, Randy B. Pfahler of Kerbaugh, Debora S. Rhoades of Bellwood, and Kathy L. Brinkman of Tipton; many nieces and nephews; and very special friends, the McFarland family.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Terry was a graduate of Bellwood High School.

He was employed in the receiving department of Hometown Market in Bellwood.

He was a lifetime member of the Pinecroft Fire Department and Blair County Allied Fireman's Association and Central District Association.

Terry enjoyed spending time with friends and loved Steelers football and Pirates baseball.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at Mauk and Yates Funeral Home (www.maukandyates.com), where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, with Pastor William Ice officiating.

Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pinecroft Volunteer Fire Department.
