Christopher John Glasson, 29, a lifelong resident of Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Thursday at his home.
He was born in Altoona, son of James and Karen (Querry) Glasson. Chris was the third straight generation of Glassons to share the same date of birth.
Surviving are his parents; his fiancee, Rikki Holland, and her son, Gauge Frank; a sister, Nicole Glasson of Altoona; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Chris was a 1999 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and he enjoyed cooking, golfing and Pittsburgh Steelers football.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona (www .stevensmortuary.com), where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church by Father Brian Saylor. Committal at Calvary Cemetery.
