The Altoona Almrausch Schuhplattlers are planning a fun evening Nov. 14 at the Bavarian Hall, Crawford Avenue and 13th. Street. The event is being called a "JAGER BALL."
The evening will start with a wurst dinner consisting of a bratwurst, a knockwurst, German potato salad, sauerkraut and bread. There will also be a children's menu consisting of a hot dog and the other sides. Apple dumplings will also be available for sale. Dinner will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. Following dinner the dancers will perform for an hour, dancing in and out of the Glockenspiel. They will be doing some old and new dances. The group recently performed in Toledo, Ohio. Gaufest where groups from all over America attended. Then again in Cleveland, Ohio for an Oktoberfest during the Labor Day Week-end, where we danced Saturday, Sunday and Monday. They also danced in Kittanning. at the Kittanning Personal Care Home and in the evening for the towns first Oktoberfest, dancing at the river front on the Allegheny River. The group danced for the residents of Garvey Manor helping them celebrate their Oktoberfest. On Saturday night after the group performs there will be dancing to the music of The Rhinelanders from Johnstown.
During the evening about 50 prizes will be chanced off.

Tickets for the evening are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets can be had from any dancer, from either the Unter Uns club or the Bavarian Hall, or by calling Dot, 944-0258.
