UNIVERSITY PARK - Two years after launching the Big Apple Express, Penn State Transportation Services and Fullington Trailways are offering bus service to the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., areas.
The BWI/DC Express will run beginning at 3 p.m. Fridays every weekend Penn State classes are in session. The service is open to anyone. Tickets are $38 one way or $76 round trip.
Stops include the Baltimore Airport (BWI), Timonium Light Rail Stop and New Carrollton Station. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.fullingtontours .com, by phone at 238-1100 or at the Bus Depot, 152 N. Atherton St.
On Sundays, buses will depart D.C. at 5 p.m. and arrive in State College at 12:30 a.m.
Meanwhile, Penn State Transportation and Fullington Trailways is again offering weekend bus trips to New York City.
The Big Apple Express will begin service on Thursday and take passengers into downtown New York City every weekend Penn State classes are in session.
The bus leaves State College at 2:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and arrives at the Port Authority at 7:15 p.m. On Sundays, buses return at 5 p.m. and arrive in State College at 9:30 p.m.
