(Courtesy photo) Bikers prepare to leave Greenwood United Methodist Church for a motorcycle run held July 18 and sponsored by the church. Proceeds benefited the Altoona District Mission Central HUB. The HUB is a local branch of Mission Central in Mechanicsburg. At the Altoona HUB,volunteers create school supply kits, health kits and flood buckets to be distributed to people suffering from natural disasters or in need. The goal of Mission Central and the HUB?is to provide mission education, mission outreach and disaster response.

Activities: Junior youth group, women's missionary group and children's choir
Community outreaches: Haulin' for the HUB fundraiser to benefit the Altoona District Mission Central HUB, movie nights and daily vacation Bible school. Volunteers from the church are active members of the Altoona District Missions Team that helps to rebuild homes in areas hit by natural disasters such as Greensburg, Kan. (tornado), the Gulf states (Hurricane Katrina) and Indiana (flooding).
