Car and motorcycle events

Inaugural car, truck and motorcycle show, Aug. 1, Church of God Tabernacle, Route 913, east of Saxton. Registration is $10 per vehicle and will be from 9 a.m. to noon. Fabulous Fifties fourth annual car show, Aug. 1, Marina Tent, Lake Raystown Resort and Conference Center, Entriken. Trophies will be presented for 12 judged classes. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Judging starts at 1 p.m., and trophies will be presented at 4:45 p.m. DJ from 2 to 5 p.m. Registration is $10, which will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Mud Slingin' Jeep Run, Aug. 1. Registration is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Riverfront Bar and Grill, Karthaus. Registration is $10. Trophies will be awarded at registration for the cleanest Jeep and after the run for the cleanest and dirtiest Jeeps. The event is open to Jeeps only. Altoona Corvette Club car show, Aug. 2, DelGrosso's Amusement Park, Tipton, open to all makes and models of cars and trucks, trophies for first-, second- and third-place winners in all classes.
