Dr. Ramesh K. Chopra

Dr. Ramesh K. Chopra, Hollidaysburg, died Monday, July 6, 2009, at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.

He was born in Lashio, Burma.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Lalli of Hollidaysburg; two sons: Rakesh and wife, Meera, of Hollidaysburg and Rajeev of San Francisco; a daughter, Rashmi C. Dod and husband, Harvinder, of Morgantown, W.Va.; four grandchildren: Sachin, Payal, Akash and Priya Dod, all of Morgantown, W.Va.; a brother, Kewal K. of Naperville, Ill.; and two sisters: Asha Kapoor of Benares, India, and Rani Marwaha of Aurora, Ill.

Dr. Chopra enjoyed practicing pediatrics in Altoona for the past 40 years.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona (www .stevensmortuary.com).
