Brothers held in attempted homicide

Two brothers are facing attempted homicide charges after allegedly stabbing a man last week in the parking lot of Evergreen Manors.
Trenton Dean Biddle, 18, of 303 60th St., Apt. B, was charged with criminal attempted homicide, criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault with a deadly weapon, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Dean Allen Biddle Jr., 29, of 328 Mulberry St., Hollidaysburg, was charged with criminal attempted homicide, criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
The men attacked Harold Mountain after a female resident of the 300 block of 60th Street told them she did not want Mountain at her home about 3 a.m. June 23, according to a criminal complaint.
The Mirror could not confirm Mountain's residence or age late Tuesday.
The woman told police she and Mountain had exchanged text messages previously, but she changed her number at one point because Mountain was texting her excessively.
According to police, however, she had sent a text to Mountain from her new phone number and they spoke on the phone before he showed up at her home early June 23. The woman told police she then told the brothers and her younger sister she did not want Mountain there.
The brothers said they would handle Mountain, police said, and the woman and her sister told police they thought that meant the men were going to beat up Mountain.
The sisters watched as the brothers attacked Mountain and heard him yell, according to police. Mountain then fled the scene on foot toward California Avenue, while the brothers returned to the woman's apartment and bragged about stabbing him.
None of the four summoned medical help for Mountain, police said.
Police said Mountain went to Altoona Regional Health System where he was admitted for the treatment of multiple stab wounds to his back, knocked out teeth and other injuries.
Mountain told police he was also hit with brass knuckles and described the knife used to stab him as a kitchen knife.
Mountain was admitted to the hospital in stable condition, police said. No further information was available.
Police found the knife in bushes near the apartment building.
Trenton Biddle faced a charge of robbery with threat of immediate serious injury and other charges in 2007, while Dean Biddle was charged with harassment in 2000, according to criminal documents.
Both are being held in Blair County Prison.

The Lord only knows what those girls told them. NO one knows how they would act,,had they been in their situation. And that's another problem, who knows what they were told, we dont have the whole story, she could have told them he was armed, we don't know and shouldnt judge!

My grandfather was the best husband and father anyone could ask for. Our Grandmother..NEVER DRANK, OR SMOKED, OR CURSED...she was a stay at home mom. Our grandfather NEVER did any of those things either! That's pretty much the only male figure in their life, cause their father-my uncle, died when they were young.

I have to say something about the "way" these boys were raised. They come from a very good and decent family. After much thought, and after reading all the posts, its becoming more evident how sad the situation is. I live in their family, I can tell you, they come from a family that works, and do their very best everyday. Our Grandfather, and the two boys' grandfather...,worked as a security gaurd his entire life, never once taking any "handouts" from the state or federal gov.,

I just want to say I dont know either of these two boys very well but i had talked to them before.. i actually liked them! They were nice boys. BUT I do know these two girls that were involved too! AND I know they make up lies! They think everything is all about them! These two girls should be charged with everything they can be to the fullest!!!!!!!!

heck look at attorney Dickey. Anyway I feel for their mother, she is good people and dont deserve to be put down she has done her best with them. As for burniing down EGM, WHY thats just stupid. I work full time, have a great job and yes I live in public housing paying full rent and wouldnt change that, i enjoy where im at, but if the time ever came and i needed help yes i would live at the EGM!!!@

Ok first off EGM is not public housing, yes its sec.8 based butu there is a diffrence. Second there are alot of good people that live there and are there because they need to be. The Biddle brothers are really not bad people, there mother has done the best she could with them on her own. Everyone has been blaming her, but what about thier dad, where has he been for them, apparently its always moms fault. Yes they have been in trouble before, so what theres alot of good people that have done something stupid

Oh please, Intown you know all the facts? No you know one side. The victim and the girl were texting each other and she changed her number but then SHE text him with the new number and talked to him before he got out there. So what part of that defines stalking? And rape? Oh please, this sounds like this girl was either doing something she wasnt suppose to be and got caught and this was her way out of it, and its sad. Those men choose to do this, why should they expect anybody to feel bad for them? The "girls" who watched and did nothing need to be charged too.

well i do know these guys and i do know for a face that one of them was on drugs im not gonna mention wich one. But as far as holding a job yeah dean has but that was just to pay for his habits. And if this guy was threatning to do this there is a such number as 911 tell ur boys to call that number instead of tryin to handle it there self. So theres something for ya to think about

first of all u dont know the facts about this matter. Dean never lived in the Manors and Trenton has only lived there a few yrs. Also neighter one of the boys are on drugs, Yeah Dean drinks beer but so does half of America. The way a person is raised has nohting to do with the person they become . Dean has always held a job and has never been on welfare. As for the man that this happened to, he needs mental help. That man stalked a girl and threated to rape her. what the*****is wrong with people? everyone is passing judgement and dont know the facts. You all need to be prayed for.

Yes,it does matter what the girls told them.Had it not been for the girls instigating the act,it would never have happened.As i said before,I'm not defending the boys,they were wrong,HOWEVER,the girls got the ball rolling and should be held accountable as well.These boys are young,dumb and full of *** and the girls used their p*****s to get exactly what they wanted and will probably do it again because they were never held accountable for their actions this time.

The older of these two boys has been to my house,hanging out with my son a few times.He's no angel but,was always very polite and well mannered.This was a shock,I would have never expected this from him.He is the type that would believe whatever those girls told him though.I think "Altoona's Finest"should look a little closer into the girls' part in all of this-they're no angels,either.They enticed the victim to come to their apartment,so that the boys could handle what they were told was a would-be rapist.I'm not defending what they did,it was wrong but,the girls should be charged as well for setting it up.FYI-these boys were raised in Hollidaysburg-not Evergreen manors,apparently that matters to some of you.

Babybaby, quit crying like one. "Your boys" took action into their own hands and need to deal with the consequences that come with their actions. They could be good people, but stabbing someone does not portray this. It was also two people on one they didn't need to bring weapons into it.
