Juniata Civics improves to 14-2

Andy Scalice drove in three runs, and Matt Cupp and Tyler Weyandt each had two RBIs as Juniata Civics improved to 14-2 with a 12-2 victory over the Altoona Lions in an Altoona Teener Major League game Saturday at Seitz Field.

n Damian Moist pitched a two-hitter, and Shane Gordon knocked in two to lead C&G Savings to a 10-0 win over Stiffler & McGraw in five innings at Seitz.

n Brandon Bernazzoli scored from second on an error with no outs to lift Furrer Beverage over Carnival Recreations, 12-7, in Altoona Teener Major baseball at Seitz Field.

Furrer's Kyle Blunt had three hits and three RBIs, while Lukas Zimmerman had two hits and a pair of RBIs. Shane Yohn came up with three hits for Carnival, which also received two doubles and two RBIs from Spencer Luciano and a double, single and two RBIs.

Andrew Brode and Erik Stern knocked in three runs each for Coldwell, while winning pitcher Thayne Russell had two hits. Ansley RV's Parker Codd collected four hits and five RBIs, and teammates Tanner Claar and Greg Dinges has three hits and three RBIs, respectively.

Matt Winters and Ethan Knepp combined on a two-hit shutout as Pal-Mino's Pizza defeated Eldorado Kiwanis, 17-0, in an Altoona Teener Minor League game at Seitz Field.

Winters had four RBIs.

n Ben Kepner had three hits and James Quinton had seven strikeouts for McMullen Furniture, who led, 4-2, going into the seventh inning.

However, Cumming Motors scored three runs in the top of that inning to win, 5-4, at Seitz Field.

Cumming Motors is now 12-6 while McMullen Furniture fell to 8-10 with the loss.
