C-K will play on MondayJune 5, 2009From Mirror reports Having gone to Shippensburg to punch their ticket into the PIAA Class A softball semifinals, the Claysburg-Kimmel Lady Bulldogs are heading even further east. The PIAA announced on Friday that Claysburg's state semi on Monday against Old Forge will be played at 4 p.m. Monday at Lebanon Valley College in Annville. Annville is located between Hershey and Lebanon. Claysburg, the District 6 champion, enters the game with a 23-3 record. The Lady Bulldogs will be attempting to become the first C-K team to reach a PIAA final - the school's girls basketball team was eliminated in the state semifinals in 2007. Old Forge (18-3) is the District 2 champion. The Blue Devils reached the third round with a one-run wins against Northeast Bradford and Bristol. The winner will play either Curwensville or Vincentian June 12 at Shippensburg University. |
