Tussey lands three on ICC team
The Inter-County Conference recently announced its South Division baseball all-stars.
Tussey Mountain had three of its players on the roster which included Jordan Deluca, Dave McMurtrie, and Cody Swope. Tyler Chesney and Matt Snyder of Northern Bedford also made the squad as well as Everett's Brad Ewing.
Honorable mentions included Tussey Mountain's Elliott Chamberlain and Zach Morrow.

Simmons leads Gingrich
David Simmons had three RBIs and two hits to lead Gingrich Insurance to an 8-3 win over Eldorado Kiwanis in a VFW Area 4 13-14 game Wednesday at Seitz Field.
n Brian Urban and Greg Dinges each had a double as Ansley RV defeated Crossroads, 14-6, in a VFW Area 4 13-14 game at Longer Field. Tanner Claar pitched a complete game for Ansley RV.

Over named top rookie
Brooke Over from Northern Bedford, now pitching for Shenandoah University, was recently named the 2009 USA South Conference Rookie Pitcher of the Year.
She helped Shenandoah University to a 30-13 record this season, with a record of 10-6 in the circle and two saves. She struck out 105 batters and pitched a total of 108 innings.
Over was also named to the 2008-2009 USA South Conference All-Academic Team.
Lytle goes 11-3 at Allegany
Andy Lytle, a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle, recently completed his freshman year at Allegany College of Maryland, pitching for 11 wins and just three losses.
Lytle was a Maryland JUCO Second Team All Conference selection and was also selected to the NJCAA Division II Region XX Second Team.
He had a postseason record of 3-1, including a win over Kellogg Community College from Battle Creek, Michigan in the NJCAA Division II World Series held in Enid, Okla.
Juniata gets commitments
HUNTINGDON - Juniata College women's volleyball has received commitments from six high school seniors.
Shelby Cassell, Kelsey Fuller, Sarah McMichael, Madison Petsos, Brianne Reau and Ashley Schnader will be joining the Juniata women's volleyball program beginning this August.
